i have found this game, 18 wheels of steel- haulin with glenn52 usa3 map mod to be a very enjoyable way to get some driving done. I love this game if for no other reason i can get out on the road and drive. updates and pictures to follow,, keep on trucking America!! 2012 is getting closer everyday!!!
ps- i fiddled with settings for months trying to get the chrome wheels to show on this new pc and after all that bs the only setting i had to change was the reflector level on the options display page- thats the first screen you see when you launch your game,, not the istart settings thingy the games opening screen where you choose load game new game options, click options then display and set the reflector level to "low" and bingo chrome everywhere. didnt make sense to me as my pc is way above what is required for this game so naturally i set everything to "high" and everything is maxed out except the reflector detail. ati hd 5570 vid card with 1gb ram , the prism engine just dont like ati cards. game works the same with either reflector settings but with it on low theres chrome !!!!
i dont remember where i got this truck but its called "freightliner_argosy_edit_dieguito" . i realize this game is a few years old but i have only had it for about 6 months, i have older hard truck games 1,2 and the original 18 wos, i had no idea about haulin because i live in a cave :P and now have et2 but i dont like et2 nearly as much as haulin. i get stuck playin a game i like and i will play that game for months even years in some cases but i tend to stick to only one new game at a time and a couple of fall backs i have loved forever it seems nascar 2k3 and msfs 9 & X to be specific, i could put a link to that truck but i havent asked permission to do so, thats why there is no link, if you google the name of it like 18 wos freightliner_argosy_edit_dieguito im sure you will find it. it didnt have a purple one in three paint schemes that come with it, this one you see here was the bay blue one. i just changed the red,green,blue values to get it purple, absolutely love the engine sound that it has, deep throaty sound, in the city you think your going faster than you are just cuz of the sound.
